If you are my friend on Facebook or Instagram, you already know that I have a new EP coming out on November 30, 2022. The name of the EP is “Glimpse of Glory,” and it’s about finding glimpses of God’s presence in creation, difficult circumstances, and in the transformation of our own hearts.
Over the course of five years, I have written and co-written songs that stem from my inability to see God in the present, when I’m going through everyday challenges. I know I am not alone, so my hope is that as we listen, we are also inspired to look for Jesus in the little things as well as big things.
The EP has five tracks. “The Unknown” is about seeing God in the midst of dark circumstances. The song “Alaska” is about seeing glimpses of God in creation. The song “Breathe Again” is about God seeing us through when we are anxious. “Heart of Easter” is about catching a glimpse of God’s glory when we consider that we ourselves are miracles. "Stay” reminds us that when we stay in the presence we are satisfied.
My family and close friends are to be credited for me finally taking a step towards recording my music. As I shared thoughts and lyrics, they encouraged me to record them. Some contributed their songwriting or singing talents, or their ability to play an instrument. Others contributed financially to make this project a reality. Their support and encouragement has been overwhelming.
