Call Now

Hebrews 13:17 says this: Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

Ministry leaders around the world have devoted their time to serve the needs of their congregations while also navigating the mental, spiritual, physical, and financial impact of COVID-19 in their own lives and in their family’s lives.

It is interesting how in this passage, the author encourages the Church to have confidence in their leaders, because they have been called to oversee the Church’s needs. How good is God that He would select people to provide for you and for me? And yet he says, do this so that in your confidence and in submission, leaders will work with joy and not worry. When the work becomes a burden for them, it ultimately impacts us.

Pastors give so much, and most do it willingly because they know Who they are doing it for, why they are doing it and they know the ultimate reward. But let me ask you this. When was the last time you reached out to your Pastors or ministry leaders to encourage them or to serve their needs? (I am calling mine right now.)

Today’s prayer focus is this: encouragement and unity among Pastors and other ministry leaders. Call your leaders, say thanks, give them a word of encouragement and pray for their labor to be light and for their unity to be strong. You will be the greatest beneficiary of it; God designed it that way.
